Reliable Dryer Cylinder for Paper Manufacturing Machine
In a paper manufacturing machine, the dryer cylinder device is the heart of the drying section. It uses saturated steam to heat the cylinder shell, evaporating water from the paper web as it contacts the hot surface. Effective dryer cylinder device performance directly impacts machine speed, steam consumption, and finished paper quality. Our dryer cylinder device is cast from HT300 resin sand iron with a 30 mm wall thickness and a surface hardness above HB200, ensuring uniform heat transfer and resistance to wear from doctor blades. The cylinder is tempered to eliminate casting stress and prevent deformation.
Designed for a maximum working steam pressure of 0.5 MPa and tested at 1.0 MPa, it meets international pressure vessel safety standards. The external surface is ground to a roughness of 0.8 μm for optimal sheet release, and the internal surface is machined to 12.5 μm to facilitate condensate flow. The shaft ends feature a precision CNC‑machined 1:12 taper with hydraulic push‑out oil holes, simplifying bearing maintenance. The operating side uses a sliding plate bearing housing to accommodate thermal expansion. Stainless steel auxiliary components include a steam insulation jacket, a rotary steam joint, a fixed siphon, and internal turbulence bars made of 304 stainless steel, all of which enhance heat transfer and reduce condensate pooling. The manhole cover is sealed with a 3 mm PTFE gasket for leak‑free operation. This paper production equipment component is dynamically balanced to G2.5 grade and lubricated with thin oil for long service life.
