Critical operational guidelines include initial valve configuration with closed inlet pulp valve open outlet pulp valve and lower slag discharge valve in open position while upper gate valve exhaust valve balance water valve and washing water valve remain closed. Trial production requires closing the slag discharge valve then opening the exhaust valve simultaneously with balance water and washing water injection into the sediment tank closing the exhaust valve when full.
High density cleaner then opens the upper gate valve allowing balance water to rise further before opening the inlet pulp valve commencing feeding only when pulp and balance water achieve equilibrium for stable operation. Operators must observe impurity settlement through the sight glass establishing proper automatic discharge timing while adjusting pressure difference between inlet and outlet to required parameters and regulating balance water flow to maintain perfect pulp-water balance position throughout production.
