The D type hydrapulper is a core component of any modern paper production equipment line processing recycled fiber. Its VOKES rotor creates strong hydraulic shear that rapidly separates fibers while keeping contaminants intact. The D‑shape housing alters the flow path, ensuring pulp contacts the rotor more frequently, which shortens the pulping cycle and raises throughput. A unique low‑pressure zone around the rotor collects heavy debris such as metal, glass, and stones, keeping them away from the rotor blades and screen plate. This significantly extends the service life of these wear parts and reduces maintenance costs.
The adjustable rotor‑to‑screen gap allows operators to fine‑tune pulping intensity for different waste paper qualities. When combined with a hydrapurger, drum screen, ragger, rope cutter, and grapple, the D type hydrapulper creates a continuous system that removes large light and heavy impurities in real time. This prevents impurities from being fragmented and recirculated, lowering the load on downstream paper industry machinery and reducing cleaning stops. The result is higher uptime, lower energy consumption, and improved pulp quality.
